This policy explains what personal data Miles Ahead Football collects, why, and what your rights are. It applies to milesaheadfootball.co.uk and any enquiry, booking, or review you submit through it.

Who we are

Miles Ahead Football is run by Miles Smith, based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. You can contact us at hello@milesaheadfootball.co.uk or 07999 325920. Miles is the person responsible for how your data is handled — there’s no separate data team, just one person you can actually speak to.

What we collect, and why

Enquiry and booking form

When you fill in the contact form, we collect your name, email address, your child’s age (or age bracket), which type of session you’re interested in, and whatever you write in the message field. This is sent directly to Miles by email and stored securely on the website so we can reply and arrange coaching with you. We don’t use this information for anything else, and we don’t sell or share it with any third party.

Reviews

If you leave a review, we collect your name, email address, and the review text. Your email address is never published or shared — it’s only used so we can get in touch if we need to verify a review is genuine. Every review is read and approved manually before it appears on the site; nothing is published automatically.

A note on children’s data

We only collect information about a child (such as their age) when a parent or guardian provides it directly to us through the enquiry form, in order to arrange appropriate coaching. We do not collect data directly from children themselves, and we do not use children’s data for marketing.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies needed for it to function properly, and asks for your consent via a cookie banner before setting anything beyond the strictly necessary ones. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Facebook/Instagram tracking pixels, or any other advertising or analytics tracking. If that changes in future, this policy will be updated first.

How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as reasonably needed to arrange and provide coaching, and for a short period afterwards in case of follow-up questions. Approved reviews remain published until you ask us to remove them. You can request deletion of your data at any time using the contact details above.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is processed by our website hosting provider purely to keep the site running and your information stored securely — they don’t use it for anything else. If we introduce online payment in future (for example, to secure a booking), that will be handled by a regulated payment provider, and this policy will be updated to reflect exactly what that involves before it goes live.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, correct it if it’s wrong, ask us to delete it, or object to how it’s used. If you’re ever unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

If how we handle your data changes — for example, if we add analytics or online payments — we’ll update this page to reflect that honestly, not bury it in small print.
